Replay is built local-first, and privacy is a core part of the product. This policy explains what the Replay app does with your data and what limited information we collect through the heyreplay.app website and the purchase process.
The app runs entirely on your device
Replay records, transcribes, and stores your meetings entirely on your Mac. Your audio, video, and transcripts never leave your device through the app and are never sent to us or to any third party by the app. We have no access to your recordings or transcripts, and there is no account to create to use the app.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to sell the app and support you:
- Purchase information. When you buy Replay, the sale is handled by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy collects your name, email address, and payment and billing details to process the order and applicable taxes. We receive limited order information, such as your email address, order details, and license key, to deliver the product and provide support. See Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy.
- Support communications. If you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message so we can help.
- Website analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand site traffic. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects usage data such as the pages you visit, your approximate location, and device and browser information. See Google's privacy policy for how Google handles this data.
How we use information
We use the information above to fulfill your order, deliver your license key, provide customer support, and comply with legal and tax obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate, such as Lemon Squeezy for payments, and when required by law.
Data retention
We keep order and support records for as long as needed to provide the Service, meet legal and accounting requirements, and resolve disputes.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, email support@heyreplay.app.
Children
The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the limited information we hold. Because your recordings and transcripts stay on your own device, their security is in your control; we recommend you protect your Mac and your backups accordingly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
